@33109f92 Maybe my non-native English won't help much in trying to explain haha, but basically I'm saying that the format that Reddit has already separates topics by sub-reddits, which means that for each post it must already be within an "island" . Lemmy makes this process quite complicated.
@33109f92 I feel like the idea of Federation is a bit bad for an app Reddit-like that already has islands within islands, you need to choose the instance and which "r/" will choose and from which instance.
I would feel more comfortable if each "r/" was a federated account and the instances were only for the user side.
