I guarantee no human designer with any experience did that laughably bad new #Patreon logo. They typed some marketing gibberish into CrapGPT and just took whatever dribbled out of the AI hole.

As both a working artist and someone who enjoys tech, the open hostility of techbros towards artists hits me where I live.
The glee with which they want to dispose of humans speaks to the ugly truth that they want art but not artists.

@b8f66dda Sad to say unlikely. Muppet replicas are incredibly labour intensive (min 40 hours), and use a lot of pricey materials. Also they’re unlicensed so there are some notorious scam artists in the Replica world who will take the money and run. Best avoided.
The fact that we're in the age when artists have to declare "not #AI" when they post their work makes me sad and angry in equal measure.
The VC bros will suck us dry of every drop of blood to feed their money machines.

@929738ba@29afe963 Actually the Luddites get a bad rep. Most weren’t explicitly anti-tech, they just wanted to make sure actual humans could, you know, live. Today we’d call them “Socialists”.
I will say here though, cuz I know I have a sympathetic ear in The Fediverse, that if we as a society valued people more than things, the AI “debate” wouldn’t be happening at all.
They want the art, but they don’t want to pay people to make the art. It’s 100% an ethical issue.
