We've just launched @Open Source Justice Foundation this week. 501(c)(3) approved public charity dedicated to supporting and defending FOSS devs developing alternative systems (legal, financial, etc).
We're exploring starting a legal defense fund to counteract the chilling effects of these absurd prosecutions.
We'd welcome your support and advice. Happy to answer any questions and provide references. (aaron@opensourcejustice.org)
When New York passed the mining moratorium, I tried to organize NY miners to sue for violating their First Amendment rights.
Nobody was interested in rocking the boat.
Rights are taken not given.

Same same. Emailed support...crickets. Even after totally doxxing myself, @primal not interested in granting me access to wallet. #permissionless @miljan
My lightning node connect also seems to stop working after a few weeks. I set it up from scratch and it works for another few weeks, then fails. Not sure what it is, but probably my horrible RPi.
DESO is rebrand of Bitclout, which fraudulently misappropriated people 's likenesses with autogenerated profiles and prevented many ppl from withdrawing their Bitcoin. A buddy and I looked into bringing some kind of class action at one point.
Hey, Ren, we are building escrow and dispute resolution primitives at @RESOLVR, which could integrate well with p2p marketplaces. Would love to collaborate soon!

Check out this long form note: nostr:nevent1qqs8gua4e0taprumcsy4ed4qsce552kxd5njm5efq76y0v03y3hrlzczyp80jdcj8l7fystaqnsn0k0chuemwh9ytgytaqzfmz4auyvhleuuqqcyqqq823c0kl633
This is great. We are finalizing our own nostr DLC client for the @RESOLVR bounty marketplace project for the @BOLT🔩FUN hackathon. Pretty similar set-up, except we hadn't thought of DLC receipts!
Is @OpenSecret going to support DLCs on lightning soon??
Earn some sats and help build a bounty marketplace on nostr.

@RESOLVR is a hackathon project with a nostr-native bounty board. It will also feature bounty escrow and crowdsourced dispute resolution. [Alpha testing](https://www.resolvr.io) begins soon!
Keeping certain user data off-relay allows for a crude form of key rotation. Importing reputation and experience to a nostr key (like GitHub through verified gists) protects a user from needing to start from 0.
Decentralized FOSS Bounty Adjudication.
The idea is becoming reality on @BOLT🔩FUN

@Lightsats is already free and provides great onboarding content for newbies, with times reversion to grantor. But it's still custodial, afaik. So, with @OpenSecret you are paying for a fully self-custodial flow.
Have used @Lightsats a lot, yeah. Allows you to generate physical cards with QR codes or word codes to redeem, which you can hand out to Uber drivers and bar tenders.
Clarity in the bounty description is key to avoiding disputes and controversy when developers seek to claim a bounty.
And resolvr.io is a nostr- and bitcoin-native bounty marketplace with dispute resolution tools designed to resolve disputes when they do arise.
@resolvr is trying to bring assurances to bounties through nostr native reputational signals and dispute resolution to solve exactly this problem. Please come contribute to the project so the FOSS #bounty market can flourish!

I think it's ok to not focus on making your product fit for a mass market right away, IF you build with a market scaling plan that adds users with decreasing levels of nostr familiarity gradually:
* Build first for nostr users/devs, then
* bitcoin users/devs, then,
* General open source software users/devs, then
* Technical early adopters, but nondevs, then
* Boomers.
