GN. Beside Lume as main project, I have thought about what project I will work on this year, as side project. I've a lot of ideas, but finally I choose I will build a successor of Silk Road and Open Bazaar. Because the first time I hear about Bitcoin is when I looking for buying some illegal stuff in those platform, but I just a teenager so I cannot buy any bitcoin 🥲, I also starting interested in coding at this time. Sadly both of them are discontinued, so I will make it happen again. Technically, I still brainstorm about backend, based on NIP-15 or Civkit or both. About Civkit, they not finalized yet, but it look promising.
What about legal stuff? isn't that like inviting target on back?
Hey, Ren, we are building escrow and dispute resolution primitives at @RESOLVR, which could integrate well with p2p marketplaces. Would love to collaborate soon! Stop by the discord sometime: https://discord.com/invite/VRmwgV3pjP
I'm not from tech área, but as non-ortodox user, I miss the localcryptos platform (no, not localbitcoins)...it was a platform that celebrated escrow with smart-contracts, and was monetized by little fees from sucessfull transactions. It made p2p more trustless, buyer would anex some proof of payment, seller would confirm, and free the funds held by the escrow wallet. Rare cases of corrupt behavior would open arbitrage dispute, and it had an inbuilt chat for security between the two parts in their arrangement. It would by awesome to have a similar system for buying real-estate, vehicles, all with crypto. Localcryptos was shutdown, much problaby by developer's fear from law-enforcement and imiment state cohersion.
