After a week of way too much housework and not being allowed pizza, I am currently eating pizza. And now a song that makes me feel like a kid dancing round my bedroom again. That's the shit.

The problem with my "build the scrappiest possible version you can think of and don't worry about what that means for your future" approach to game development is that occasionally, just occasionally, you realise the future has arrived.

I've made a terrible mistake!
Finally added visible bridges to connect the hexes, so my little capsule fellas are no longer floating weirdly over the gaps.
But now instead of working on it more, I just keep watching them mill around town aimlessly. Oops! 😅
p.s. yes I'm doing #ScreenshotSaturday on a Sunday and you can't stop me.

In my defence, last week every hex tile connected on every side. Now, they'll randomly generate connections so our little capsule folks have to take more interesting routes.
No idea what the official approach to something like this is, so my code is probably terrible. But you know what, it works.

@46281ca2 Thanks, we're all good. I'm coping mostly through deep cleaning the house, and eating way too much bread. Which as coping mechanisms go, could probably be worse!
Still hope to get a bit of gamedev time in this weekend ofc but we shall see!

BUT I am absolutely going to play the "husband was having surgery on Wednesday and it's been very traumatic and I had more important things to be getting on with, the jam was just to distract me from my anxiety spiral for a bit" card, so nobody is allowed to judge me 😅
(Surgery went well, but the whole thing was terrifying, 0/10 would not recommend)
You can judge the quality of a #totp episode by how much of it you spend bopping along awkwardly in your dressing gown. And I have done a lot of that in the last 20 minutes.
Unfortunately you can also tell the quality of a number one by the realtime toots of people who aren't on an iPlayer delay.
