Hi guys, biomed researcher here. Just going to randomly rant about how sick of all the longevity bullshit I am.
We have so many bigger issues on our plate, such as cancer, metabolic disorders, congenital diseases, possible new pandemic outbreaks, etc. Which really impact the life of people from early on and permenantly. However, because some rich guys think they are too good to die, we waste the few resources we already have to bet on a treatment that will be applicable to 0,00001% of world population either way. Hell, even if it could be generalised, I bet that any economist who would be faced with that scenario would tell you it’s a bad idea.
What about this: let’s focus on curing people and make the latter stages of our life as confortable and as funcional as possible, but let’s accept that, just like any other living being that ever existed, we are all going to die someday. And that’s okay, just make it as painless as possible.

I think the recent letter from U.S. Senators asking the Fed for a 75bps rate cut was to provide top cover so when the Fed cuts 50bps, they can appear calm, controlled, and dovish by contrast.
Further, it’s difficult to imagine that the Fed *won’t* resume QE policy.
