Yes! 100% We should start a bitcoiner Starcraft league. I think nostr:nprofile1qqsvf82j54enveujhxnwfpg4slpgqshmyna9vfwx6eace9wgw5dv59gprpmhxue69uhkc6t8dp6xu6twvaex2mrp0yhxxmmdqyd8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtn0wfskuem9wp5kcmpwv3jhvqgswaehxw309ahx7um5wgh8w6twv59qh4z3 would be down for that. 😉 I know a few others in the space too 😁
I really stretched my computer skills 💻 this weekend!
I was able to install Balance-of-Satoshis and Rebalance-LND. It was my first time using Github and a command line interface!
Not sure if everything is working yet, but I got it all setup! 🤞
Thanks to nostr:nprofile1qqs9f6mnfjfhtaqyldxqd93cctwcwrpjhqwm3vkp6dh6f263rcm8ldgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz8thwden5te0dehhxarj9e3xjarrda5kuetj9eek7cmfv9kz7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucn89unrchc9
Aqua wallet is pretty amazing. I just sent on-chain bitcoin directly into my Lightning wallet without swapping using their new direct peg-in feature.
It was pretty easy and seamless.
We're getting there!
Nice day overall. We all went to church followed by a church council meeting. Then, I played outside and went hiking with my son quite a bit, did two loads of dishes, and then grilled some roast beef and made dinner for my family. Good day, but exhausting! 😴
I just finished reading Matthew and day 266 of my Bible in a Year study program. This year is about spiritual growth for me. I think 2025 will be more focused on physical health improvements.
💯 I feel the same way. I can also quote some crazy Shakespeare, and often struggle with the technical parts of Bitcoin, but I've learned so much on this journey so far and I'm still going!

I am in need if 1 or 2 rides to and/or FROM Boston Logan airport for me and my family.
Can anyone help me out?
I'm willing to pay good sats for this.
2 Adults and 2 young kids.
Need to go to the airport Saturday morning (9-7-24) but we might try to take the train there. We REALLY need to figure out our ride back from the airport on Wednesday 9-18-24 at like midnight 🙃. We live about an hour west of Boston.
If anyone is interested in helping us out and earning some sats, please contact me soon!
I might do it just because I like building computers and projects. I'm just wondering if I should start small (Raspberry Pi or VM) and learn or just start planning a proper server build 🤔?
I'm not sure I know enough about relays to start planning this yet, but I'm interested in trying it.
I am traveling to Chicago to to attend a conference and meet a bunch of people. Will be there for the next 6 days.
I would love to meet up with any fellow Bitcoin plebs who happen to be in the area!
Do I know anyone from Austin, TX here on nostr??
I might be considering a move there and have location questions.
I hear there's some good Bitcoin culture?
Is housing affordable?
Very cool! Thanks for the link.
I got to interact with Grizzlies when I was at Washington State University as they have a grizzly rehab program there.

I'm getting interested in potentially running my own relay. I see I can do it through Umbrel, but what are other options? What should I know or be reading? 📚 🤔
So at this moment I don't know who I'm going to vote for.
I'm probably going to vote for RFK Jr.
I'm not voting for Trump.
I wasn't going to vote Biden.
But now...
Might the DNC actually put someone else decent up??
Harris seems too close to Biden for me now, so she would really have to distinguish herself well and fast on all the issues. Where has she been the past few years? It feels like I haven't heard from her since she joined the ticket.
DNC should go open primary.
Now I'm actually going to have to think about my vote again.
I'm watching this now. Feel this was a needed discussion after some of the craziness lately.

Funny enough, my Bitcoin journey started with a podcast that covered it back in 2013. The Stuff You Should Know podcast did an episode on Bitcoin that really caught my interest when I heard it back then, and ive been into it ever since!
Beyond that, the podcast I most highly recommend to people is one that was called The Earth and Environmental Systems Podcast by Christian Shorey at the Colorado School of Mines. He released ~65 episodes between 2007-2011 or so. This podcast was a series of lectures covering geology, history of the Earth, climate, all of natural science, and human history.
Back in the lab Monday morning after the long holiday break, and suddenly it's an emergency that we don't have any Liquid Nitrogen for immediate use??? Come on grad students, give me a day or two... 🤦
Even if you are not into fishkeeping, the aquarium test kits are an inexpensive way to check the water quality of your tap water or other drinking water sources. 🚰
I have multiple ways of keeping tabs on my water quality, but I'm often amazed at how easily these little kits tell me when I have an issue.

Today, I'm planning on opening several more Lightning Network channels on my node. I have a few ideas, but I need to do more research. Does anyone have any advice or want to open a channel with me??
Sparrow is pretty cool. I run it connected to my own node on my desktop PC. You can create multiple wallets, use coin-control features (UTXO management), and you can create and interact with multisig wallets, and interact with multi-party custody solutions like Unchained Capital etc.
