Good morning nostr, and happy friday. I love fridays because its usually when we get to go to our local resale shop. I need to look for a few salad bowls because recently we have broken/dropped a few of our old ones, and the resale shop always has tons of them for .25 cents. I used to be very picky about having all my plates, glasses, cups matched, but now i actually prefer having unmatched everything. Makes life easier.
Our injured hen that we had put in the chicken hospital has been released back into the main run. She still limps, but is able to get around and is eating fine. I'm happy that we didnt have to put her down. So i like to exeriment with spritzters, or mocktails. Last night i was craving something herbal, and this is what i did. Turned out to be very tasty, and i'll be making it again. I used fresh herbs from my backyard.
Herbal Spritzer
1 TBSP fresh lime juice
1/4 cup fresh garden herbs (i used mint and lemon balm)
2 cups sparkling water
Put lime juice, herbs, and 1/4 cup filtered water in a Vitamix (or high speed blender) until smooth. Mix in the sparkling water, thats it. Enjoy.

Awesome that you got some land! I know its tons of work, but you'll be able to build it out the way you want. You'll have setbacks and it'll probably take longer than you thought, but stay focused and dont get discouraged. Take breaks from it when it gets overwhelming.
Super easy homemade italian dressing, without any crappy ingredients. I made some today for our lunch salad. #foodstr #ItalianDressing #MakeYourOwn
Italian Dressing
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (I was out of olive oil, and substituted avocado oil, worked just fine).
- 2 TBSP apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp fresh or dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp fresh or dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- freshly ground black pepper
Put all ingredients in a jar and shake, thats it. You can double, triple, quadruple the recipe if you wish. This tastes so much better and fresher than store bought, without hidden nasty ingredients.
