 We were able to rent an excavator for 2 days. It was so much fun. And completely helpful. We were able to get several annoying stumps out of the new “driveway”

 I wish!  Not quite yet. Raw land and it needed a lot of work before we can do something big like a house. 
We are heading that direction though and I would love for it to be sooner than later

 Awesome that you got some land!  I know its tons of work, but you'll be able to build it out the way you want.  You'll have setbacks and it'll probably take longer than you thought, but stay focused and dont get discouraged. Take breaks from it when it gets overwhelming.
