Good morning nostr, the temps today should be in the low 70's, so much nicer and more autumn-like than its been. So i hope to spend most of the day outdoors, enjoying it to the fullest.
Yesterday i ran into a friend who worked at the same hospital where i worked, and she told me how terribly demoralized most of the workers are. Many of them had quit due to not having enough staff to cover the shifts, so the ones left have to work overtime alot. My friend said they are just not treated well by admin. I'm glad i got out of there, and its disturbing that the folks who have the most direct contact with patients are in a state of burnout. Not good for patients.

I was just about out of my homemade toothpaste, so just whipped up another batch. Love this stuff.
Remineralizing Toothpaste
5 parts calcium carbonate
1 part diatomaceous earth
2 parts baking soda
3-5 parts coconut oil
1 part turmeric
Optional: essential oil (i like peppermint)

Good morning nostr, still waiting for fall temps around here, maybe someday. It should be a pretty routine day for us, just the regular chores, and i might try to work on my backyard paver project a bit. When our friends came over yesterday, they were very interested in how we've let the chickens and rabbits co-habitate in the large run, and couldn't get over how well its working. I'll have to say it was an experiment, and hopefully it continues to work well for us. Hi nostr, i'm quitting a little early today, a bit disappointed that our rain lasted all of 4 minutes, then it was sunny. I'm looking forward to visiting with our friends tomorrow, and letting them shoot their new rifles out here. I might do a trade or sale of one of my handguns, an M&P Shield EZ that i really love except for the stupid grip safety. I love the ease of racking the slide and really love the assist tabs on the magazine. But i just cant get used to that grip safety. Wonder if they've come out with an EZ without that? I need to look. My friend said she might be interested in buying it, so we'll see. Anyway, i'm tired and ready to jump in the shower and find a movie for us to watch. Yall have a good evening nostr friends. Good morning nostr, its gonna be another packed day. We have some errands this morning, then i have tons of catching up around the house. I think i'm gonna cook some roast in the slow cooker, then tomorrow i'll shred it. We can use the shredded beef in a hundred different ways, so i'll have something to feed our friends this weekend. Maybe baked sweet potatoes loaded with shredded beef and all the fixins? Just saw your npub on TG tsp group and followed your npub. I used Unchained late last yr. I had an old ira from where i used to work, converted it to Roth, then moved it to unchained btc ira. Since it was already in "the system", i didnt want to pay tax on the whole thing by cashing out, so only paid tax on the earnings. The great thing is no taxes on any gains from here on (because Roth), and it has already increased in value, alot, since then.
Yep, they want us to be stuck in the bureaucracy. But i think you can still open a Roth with them, just need to fund it. Not sure what the minimums are.
