I just left the POST and removed all of the WSS code, since I only need to post from the workers. If you are interested, I can invite you to the repo (I kept it private so I don’t expose account id)
I haven’t even seen the reply until a 1 hour ago, even though I checked yesterday. Have you tried following and unfollowing me again to fix the notes propagation issues? 🤣😂
Good looking eyes, and a beautiful color! 👀👁️👁️

Depends on how much you are willing to pay for it. 🤣😂🤣
But, on a serious note, it will have real and nontrivial costs associated with it. Technically it is not the most complex thing to implement and will highly depend on the use case and requirements:
- Minimum desired length of time
- Maximum desired length of time
- Media types
- Strictness of expiration
- Ability to “resurface”
Depending on the problem you are trying to solve, it may have impact on implementation. Complexity and maintenance will add additional costs, as well as longer term consequences of lingering dead links (hits are not free for us). If you are interested in making Damus exclusive feature, then let’s talk and see where it takes us.
Update was for iOS 18 and no keys are nuked, it’s a JS error on the older iOS that prevents it from running. I am not a maintainer, just contributed the code to the repo that is not really maintained anymore. It works on iOS 18, I don’t have devices on the older iOS to even test.
There was no changes to the key handling, it’s the way the extension stores the keys. Again, I do not own it or plan to maintain it (not mine), and I do not think it was implemented correctly to begin with. If you search for the issues with extension loosing data on iOS upgrade, you’ll see plenty of devs complaining. Local storage of the browser is not how you supposed to store the data to persist for a longer time, so you get these issues.
One is for accessing private networks (VPN) as it was originally envisioned and designed, another one is to stay anonymous (TOR). Then came along marketing geniuses and decided to rebrand VPN as a security feature for accessing internet. Tech-unaware consumers bought into it, and do stupid shit under the wrong impression. Did I get it right? 😂😂😂🤌🏻🔥
