A message to my friends in Primal client. I am not aloof and uninvolved in discussions, I am an active Nostr user. It's just that all my replies to your sub-posts disappeared in Primal. But other Nostr clients can see my reply posts. 🫂🫂🫂

Only those who do bad things truly understand themselves. Eric Schmidt pointed out the unrestrained and distorted business model of large social networks. Only hatred, anger, and division can attract more attention and engagement. This model of generating advertising revenue through algorithms that foster crowd hatred, anger, and division will only make the world more fragmented. Large corporations enslave people's attention and thoughts through algorithms, which only worsens the world. Once people filled with online hatred calm down and meet in the real world, they often find that much of the hatred shaped by algorithms is not worth mentioning.

How will we view today in ten years? Just like how we view Bitcoin from ten years ago. When we extend our perspective over time, the future of many things becomes clearer.
“CEOs are all about maximizing revenue, and to do that, they have to maximize engagement. Maximizing engagement means stimulating more anger. Algorithms prioritize content that makes people angry because that generates more revenue. So there is an overall bias toward extreme content, and it doesn’t discriminate. This is something that must be addressed in our society.†Eric Schmidt
