Mining is a supremely competitive business. Leaving fees on the table is a mistake. The censorship resistance that emerges from this is part of the grand design.
Thoughts on the state of mining:
The current install base is massive. A 10% increase in difficulty requires 1,000MW of new rackspace. The supply chain and construction timeline for this is significant.
