imo imo, re: bots, lack of content, The B!tcoin Tourettes-syndrome Chatroom dilemma I personally don't think bots are a solution to The Lack of Content complaint. But at least this thread is raising the issue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think it's probably a very long road of dribs and drabs. It's still early and all that etc etc. It's possible to imagine, just as an example, that the spicier content creators could use nostr as their 'follow me on nostr if my account goes down again' or 'follow me on nostr for the unedited version of this essay/video/etc'. You would then slowly build up a userbase that may initially be inactive but as that slowly grows you would have more of a drip drip of the curious. Very similarly to how rumble is used by people, in fact rumble crossover audience seems likely(?) Guess it boils down to marketing/spreading the word of nostr (outside of the b!tcoin twitter bubble). Just one hopeful prediction of possible growth:) nostr:nevent1qqs2ecfvxfzrf5r0wdwwuar9w89vjagkk0hdz573s8u3xnzltsy02fgppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qgszemvltrzceqkrwxxut9qh48ccm652zzty2umtn4vcmfeahu8u4ygrqsqqqqqpwagvjh
Luckily were mostly all stubborn lil goblins here who'll stick it out. There's more positive and unique things to nostr obviously, tho which I haven't mentioned. Ability to build stuff and other stuff here. I'm not even sure that is all that well known. The building stuff is also the content here, albeit admittedly niche interest. But again I think the normie is a mythological creature and is actually interested in stuff like that. Anyway my time on the toilet is up.
Agree. Bots aren't the solution. nostr:nevent1qqspp03eyr6hy77vcn8tstg55kl97uvwwfptwhc65qhuwdzk7ymtj9gpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsygyu5z7hg5r5944zqvvupc75ceuunczx48w8p6802hpfqh3yq535pvpsgqqqqqqslcdnq8
AI "content" is a turnoff for me, but i'm fussy.
yeah I agree, I'm not keen on the AI reply bots and their HR-sanctioned 'humour'. But I think the bots in question in this thread were twitter feed mirrors.
Can’t exploit need somehow.
with the ongoing escalation of cyberwarfare and DDoS attacks and spam, now being further accelerated by AI driven activity, all the silos are virtually applying tourniquets to their internet connections, trying to shut everyone except direct users out, excluding all secondary, down-line usages. then the problem of post management applications, which let you generate one piece of content and distribute it on multiple platform/protocols, are expensive to develop, and even harder to build because of aforementioned tourniquets. the problems of cyberwar and insecure platforms are becoming acute right now, this is just yet another of the many surface appearances of it.
"drip drip of the curious" 🤣 That's a good way to phrase it.
