 I believe you can upload from your pc files, but if not then host you pfp somewhere like google drive and paste the direct link. Apps can make it easier, use amethyst on android or Damus on ios 

 Damus works! I’ll use that from now on.

 Thanks for the info my dude.  Also, I can’t figure out how to create a new post?  All I can do is reply.  I am only using Damus on IOS so maybe I need a different app as well to see a different interface 

 On Damus, go to your main feed page.  The purple button on lower right with the + symbol in it.  For a new post.
