Not sure of a use case for 1 but 2 would be awesome!
One use case for the funding source is to allow you to run LNbits on a clearnet VPS and fund it from your home node without having to do any fancy NAT traversal, port forwarding or other things than can be a privacy leak.
Being able to use NWC with a certain LNBits wallet would be awesome. I could just top up a spending wallet from time to time when I wanted to zap more instead of having NWC have access to my entire node's balance (with a daily limit).
if this leads to nwc on my core lightning running on start9, thatd be so cool

LNbits does. We have a team of very busy devs. We're offering the bounties to anyone to contribute to a FOSS project and get paid.
We actually NEED MORE DEVS. I'm too busy; outta bullets. more than one of us passed on this. FWIW I have struggled to recruit devs over the past 2 years and its really frustrating to work with people who say they wanna dev but talk and never do any. imo the extension should be rewarded higher than the funding source but that's a minor detail
I feel like the whole thing should be minimum 1.8M but let’s see maybe someone has extensive time n really needs the sats
