I went to the dentist to get some cleaning done recently and now my teeth are super fucking sensitive to cold food.

I have very good dental hygiene and haven’t had a cavity in almost 10 years. I brush my teeth and floss once a day. No seed oils or refined sugar. Are these cleanings a scam? It feels like they just wear down my enamel.
You should try whitening. Holy mother of fuck.
Oh I know trust me but at least with whitening I have a nicer smile. My teeth look the same now but feel worse lol
actually you shouldn't try whitening...that'll damage your enamel (cleanings, no...)
I know it’s bad so I try not to do it more than once every 18 months.
Don't do it--damage is cumulative (i.e. you never grow more enamel--you might be able to remineralize somewhat, but what you have now is all you're ever going to have, and whitening strips off a small layer each tiem you use it.
You might be onto something I went for a cleaning 6 months ago and now I have extremely sensitivity to cold and hot liquids on a tooth on my upper right side. I had a bunch of dental work last year and was feeling good since the last root canal until the cleaning
Sometimes I think it is. My dentist wants to see me for cleaning more times per year than insurance will pay for. 🧐
I don’t even have insurance I just pay cash. They want me to go in every 6 months. But why? I don’t have cavities. I’ve gone 5 years without seeing a dentist and still had no cavities 🤷‍♂️
 I think so!
It seems like the dentist always wants me to go more often than the insurance covers. Even though I have good hygiene. And it seems she always wants to upsell with a mouthguard or other things. I just say no 😂
 I’m surprising you’re still using insurance 😂
Mandatory in Chinada. If you don’t get the one from work you have to get the one from government
