Nigger was a term used by slavers and slave owners. Pirates would probably have called the blacks or negros (the Fr*nch word for blacks), maybe even negras (Spanish). The term nigger was a bastardization of those words and "niggard", which means bad host, so pirates wouldn't have the concept of that word
Dunno but someone did a voice over parody of a pirate themed board game commercial where the skull wouldn't stop calling the token black kid a nigger.
