A service that kept all the events would know where your DMs are if they were publicly available.
I meant for my current situation to extract the previous information. But yeah we gotta do something with DMs on here.

I guess his service back ups all of the public notes but not the DMs
It also backups your DMs data, and of course, the content of DMs will be encrypted. You can re-broadcast those events, and once the relay has those events, your client should automatically decrypt them, and you should have all your DMs back.
