Ah . . . that kindler, gentler style of parenting.

That kid wouldn't last 5 seconds in my house.  I think my 9 year old and 12 year old would hand him his ass before I could even get to him.

Ah, didn't know.

I've seen parents like this in real life, though.  Seriously.  It was unsettling.  The urge to jerk a knot in their kid's behind right in front of them was almost overwhelming.

And they're not doing their kids any favors.  But they can't stand the thought of not being "nice" to their kids all the time.  Blah.

I wouldn’t have hesitated to remove that hammer from his hand and then remove the boy from the room.  

We’ve never used punishment, AND, at the same time, we also never hesitated to use the protective use of force to enforce important boundaries, like respecting other people’s property.  

Gentle parenting should never be unparenting. 🤦🏻‍♀️  I sure hope this is a fake scene, but I’ve witnessed nearly as bad. 🤪
