It is a matter of perspective. If you were a dinosaur you'd be shivering and in shock that the polar ice caps don't melt during the summer. Brrrr.
Actually this year is warmer than normal, and I've read that the cause is that big volcano in the pacific which increased the amount of dihydrogen monoxide by 10%. It should return to normal in a few years as the atmosphere rebalances it self by making the extra amount FALL OVER OUR HEADS. now, this really should make one run to the hills.
