One thing is for sure on nostr, I know my account can't be deleted and if people want to read my notes they will, no matter what I say. This was never the case on twitter or anywhere else. Your social network was never yours. Even when shadowbanning wasn't a word, there was always an intrinsic threat of losing your account or your note being deleted or hidden. It's explicitly stated in the terms of service! Censorship was never a surprise because it all is under the roof of a corporation with employees, hierarchies, investors, advertisers, protesters, providers, governments, banks, etc. The decision to manipulate content can originate anywhere and no matter where that is, it's bound to be subjective. Not on nostr.
