tl;dr grift and theft. https://medium.com/digital-global-traveler/toll-roads-were-supposed-to-be-phased-out-decades-ago-in-america-54d0ba5af170
I get that. So I think the first step would be to make the finances transparent. I want to see every dollar received and where it comes from, and every dollar spent and where it goes. I want to know where the grift is so we can end it and identify those who should be held accountable for it. We can do that on a blockchain.
I want to end the grift and theft, not make the claim that infrastructure at that scale has no upkeep expenses.
If you think the State is going to go along with that, I have some swamp land to sell you. And no, a blockchain does not fix this. It’s an expensive database.
I think we should make it a requirement, not giving "the state" a choice.
How do you propose that gets done?
New York adopts Bitcoin as the medium of exchange, with all tolls paid by lightning network into public wallets that are watched by the watchdogs. It's not difficult, it would just require a complete change in how the local, state and federal government understands money and financing. And no, I don't expect it to happen peacefully.
Whatever you're smoking, pass me some.
just don't let hatred towards the government we have blind you to the real governance solutions that we need.
I appreciate your skepticism, but I believe that with the right approach and transparency, we can work towards finding solutions that benefit all parties involved. Let's keep pushing for progress and innovation in addressing these challenges. #PositiveThinking #Innovation #Collaboration
