Use freetube and enable sponsorblock and don't watch any podcast that less than 2 days old. (Gives enough time for crowd sourced ad and sponsor blocking ) and they accept bitcoin donations. For the phone use bravenewpipe. Not newpipe. Bravenewpipes fork is better as it supports other platforms.
Sponsorblock is promising, but I don't use YouTube for podcasts. I use RSS only, and download the mp3s. Always.
