This has been an issue for as long as humans have made cities. Many places have been abandoned by human settlers because the water ran out. Life goes on.
But before we left cities to go somewhere else or society disappeared. Now wouldn’t it be better to look for alternative measures?
Yeah I think there are a lot of alternative measures already being used. What is the last city that had to actually be abandoned because of water shortage? I think it’s more a news story headline / fear mongering than anything else. They were saying this about Mexico City this year.
Let’s hope it’s just a passing drought. I do worry because I’m already starting to feel the effects.
