It's really important to read the terms we provide about the cards, as well as the complete terms always linked to.

Note that we don't set those terms, but eBay and Walgreen's (in the examples you gave).

Prepaid Visa cards can be a better choice, although they do come with less rewards (except when we run promotions), and not every merchant will accept prepaid cards either.

There's no perfect solution unfortunately, which is why we try to provide as many avenues as possible.

I will say not all vendors go by their own terms. I couldn't find anything about Walgreens not allowing prescriptions for gift cards in the prohibited items section. Even when I called their customer service I was given conflicting reports of it should work or not. That's a Walgreens issue though and nothing to detract from the service I get from TBC.
