Jealousy says I desire what you have and so I endeavor to earn it for myself.

Envy says I desire what you have so I endeavor to take it away from you.

Jealousy is healthy.

Envy is not.
Jealousy is ugly, I believe it to be your definition of envy. It is envying and believing that you are owed the same with no work.

Envy to me is your definition of jealousy. It is harmless. It is either an appreciation without the desire for it for yourself, likely due to an understanding of the work involved, or it is the motivation for you to push harder.

You are jealous of that kid in school who went to the same classes as you but did better. You envy the celebrity who has it all and wish to learn their ways.
I think this one lands better

Definitions can change. You more often hear "I envy you" in a casual conversation than "I am jealous".

Regardless of changing definitions the idea that jealousy is healthy is ridiculous. Not sure what Hodl is thinking, this is some pseudo-intellectualism that really is poor.
You might want to Google Jealousy vs Envy. Not sure why you would think jealousy is always healthy which is what you are saying. A more true statement if you think it can be positive would be jealousy *can* be healthy. To say jealousy is healthy is just obviously wrong.
 Regardless of motive …
