Yes! It is beautiful, and we were lucky enough to be there when an organist was playing.
Lovely! I need to go there. And also Chartres, at some point. Not that I've been on holiday in 10 years lol You got any other places planned? Santiago de Compostela? Probably lots of amazing small churches everywhere wherever you are in Spain actually. I pretend I'm on holiday in my hometown and visit old churches as a new hobby lol. (Although in my experience CoE churches are never open outside of mass times, and even then they are often only on Sundays)
This is actually the end of our trip! We started in Milan, visiting the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, since St. Ambrose is my wife's confirmation saint. We saw the tomb of St. Dominic, with his skull on display, in Bologna. Madrid was our last stop, including a day trip to Ávila. Heading back to the States tomorrow.
I'd love to make the Santiago pilgrimage someday. Half of a good Europe trip is just visiting all the random little churches.
Random little churches might be interesting indeed https://www.romfea.gr/images/article-images/2015/03/moni.kipinas.jpg
