This is actually the end of our trip!  We started in Milan, visiting the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, since St. Ambrose is my wife's confirmation saint.

We saw the tomb of St. Dominic, with his skull on display, in Bologna.

Madrid was our last stop, including a day trip to Ávila.  Heading back to the States tomorrow. 

 I'd love to make the Santiago pilgrimage someday.  Half of a good Europe trip is just visiting all the random little churches.
