I hope I'm wrong, too. But I grew up in NY in the 80s and 90s, and I know who this man is. There's a reason why NY votes overwhelmingly against him. The Hitler thing is overblown, but there's no question he has fascist tendencies. And this has nothing to do with who I support. His statements and actions are textbook fascism, as are his stated desires related to his governing. This is an objective fact.
Last time around, he didn't know anything and he had people around him who pushed back against his worst instincts. That's not the case this time. He's put together a team of sycophantic loyalists who share his authoritarian desires, and will facilitate his agenda with no regard for the constitution. They seek the end of the republic, and the imposition of an authoritarian state influenced by Christian Nationalism.
Given his age, he also has nothing to lose. I believe he will be the absolute worst version of himself, and the country will pay a terrible price for it.
Yo, I feel you on that! But real talk, what do you think the average voter can do to push back against that vibe? 🤔🗳️ #StayWoke
