I don't know how crazy or difficult to achieve what I'm going to say is, but here I go: Public lists of users with the possibility of free or paid subscription, for moderation and/or feeds. That is, I make a list of silenced users (bots) and whoever wants can subscribe if they trust my criteria, something similar with feeds (or user lists)
The autocomplete is incredibly unusable. It deters me from using the application. Feature I would like to see is the ability to follow specific hashtags and see it in my feed.

I would like to see more functionality with the relays. For example an option to push my note to one of the relays from my list or to all of them. Also, the relay information when you click on it (uptime, paid or not etc). Under the posts to see who zapped/liked it.
Probably it also would make sense to focus on the DM UX.

I just want to bump this again because it’s the 3rd or 4th time I’ve suggested this/asked if this is a planned Primal feature. I’ve never gotten any type of response. I believe NIP-42 is implemented on almost every “major” nostr app at this point except Primal. DMs for paying nostr.wine users aren’t available on Primal as a result. Filter.nostr.wine will soon require AUTH and we will have to encourage our users to use something other than Primal.
custom primal lightning addresses
I can’t zap outside the ecosystem, alby address, other non primal addresses, and now I don’t get zaps from “outsiders”.
You should be able to send and receive payments/zaps anywhere on the lightning network. If you are not able to do so, please let us know the details (you can DM me) and we'll investigate.

Thank you for all of your effort. I like the app a lot. Here my most wanted emprovements: 1) The camera in the wallet doesn't work properly (black display, freezed). 2) it would be great if I could use the wallet for lightning payments outside of nostr. 3) a custom lightning address for recieving payments.

My favorite Noster client! Great job. One small thing that annoued me: I feel like there are now too many animations in the lightning wallet. Just like with a PowerPoint presentation/website I feel like it'd be more effective to have less animations. Makes the user experience better, less distractive and cleaner.

First input: it’s already great 😊 Latest build fixed the annoying keyboard bug. One thing I noticed when updating is that my custom zap amounts got overridden and I needed to change them again. I think there was a minor update of primal today or yesterday and this one kept my custom amounts. Features: 1. Bookmarks 2. Gifs (uploading a gif makes it a static image). 3. Being able to see list of people that zapped, liked a post. 4. Custom notifications would be nice. Selecting some events that can notify you on the iOS level. 5. Zap stream integration! Would be great to watch zap stream from inside Primal on iOS. Being able to comment/zap and if possible play the video/audio on pip/background. 6. Maybe a macOS desktop client? 🤔🫡 All in all, it’s an excellent client and the evolution has been quick and it has been very exciting following it. Congratulations and keep up the great work! 👏⚡️🫡

don’t know if it’s been addressed but I still notice renotes of accounts I have muted. would love ws support for private relay logging. automatic inclusion of followed hashtags would be cool for the “latest” feed. and maybe what about slightly larger profile circles, my brain is too lazy to recognize names as quickly. appreciate the app so far btw, great work 🤙

I think Primal should have two modes to join: 1- Self sovereign way: The user receive the nsec and npub and have privacy. 2- With email and password: The user doesn't have access of nsec. Have all disadvantages of a centralized service. Obs. I think would be more easier to people that doesn't care yet about decentralization, to join nostr.
I can see that npub and nsec might not be necessary for users who don't want to deal with it, but they should still be generated so that the account is secure from people who try to clone the account on other devices with the username/password.
Getting people used to the idea of a public and private key is a big step towards getting them more comfortable with Bitcoin and sats. I don't think we should ignore the lesson and make things too easy.
If we want mass adoption, we need to give people options that they are comfortable.
I agree. But after installing Primal on my phone, getting the public and private key to be able to log into the same account in my browser was super easy, just copy/paste into a secure location, copy paste into the browser login, and I was off and running. I think it would have been almost as easy if I wasn't already familiar with public/private keys, it would have just taken a few more minutes of research and a brave step into the unknown to expand my comfort zone. Which is what I did way back in 2017 when I started down this path. Eventually, adoption will come as more people get comfortable with how it works, I really don't think we need to massively adjust how it works if it introduces holes in security.
Believe me, many old people and youngs too doesn't care about these things, they just want to use something in the same way they always did. But I agree that with centralized mode with email and password, the user should have access to nsec to be able to login in other apps to, if they want.

You are able to scan/type/paste any lightning address via Primal Wallet. To type/paste, select the keyboard tab on the Send screen.

Today I tried to show a colleague at work how useful Nostr is so I opened Primal and searched for the totally innocent word “#nature”. The first three posts with pictures were from AI generated naked girls. I wish we could filter out (as in, not who) posts with 1. Pictures or videos at all 2. Negative filter, as in, i want to view #photography but I don’t want to see #NSFW I know the #hashtags are user generated and could be unreliable, but still this filter option is better then nothing 🤔
@miljan I want to be able to login and switch between two accounts on Nostr using my primal iOS app - my personal Nostr account and a community initiative 🍊💊 Nostr account. Once you get that sorted for me, I have no further complaints Sir. 😆🫡🤝🍊💊

iPad support for the iOS app
One unique selling point of primal could become the option to block pictures and videos that are not “child safe” or NSFW. How can you recognize such content? Most smartphones today have great ML features. A simple model could be trained to filter all incoming posts 🤔

Nuzzel.com was an app and a service and was bought by @jack or at least by Twitter and stopped working soon afterwards. God I loved Nuzzel. It would give me a short list of all the stuff that the people I follow where liking and/or resharing. It was like the highlights of that day, in one handy list. Could somebody please build a similar thing but in Nostr 😅 🙏
