@jb55 account search on Damus is practically unusable. I know you’re busy with OS X and Android, but could you make it where search on iOS first looks through the list of people you follow? It’s a quick fix that will help out so many of us… right now, anytime I type something into search it shows ONLY useless accounts. Iris and Nestr use the above method. Hope you can implement it without much trouble. 🙏 All the userbase is on iOS. Thanks!
Can you give an example? This is the first time I’m hearing it.
Sure I’ll upload a video now. Hopefully it will depict what I mean.
Interestingly, some accounts appear but other accounts don’t. When I search for Jack or Viktor, their names do not appear even though they are in my follow list… but when I search Jb or Cameri, those usernames do appear. It’s an inconsistent glitch, but the people it happens to get stuck like that — I haven’t been able to use search to find Jack’s account for months. https://v.nostr.build/J6jDP.mp4
@Colby which version? 1.8?
Yes, latest App Store version.
Mayhe I am misremembering - I think there was a regression and @tyiu fixed in 1.9. I can readily find Jack, who I follow, in profile search.
Also wondering if it’s this now: nostr:note18f85v5uuyuljtx9wwfymq7lxjacslvpp0d8xkj0gja7s7lf2s30qlgc42g
Not sure if it will solve your problem but I cleared cached, deleted the app data via storage in settings, deleted the app (make sure you have backed up your nsec), and then reinstalled. I have been using Damus as an app for over a year and I think the conversion between test flight back and forth, the updates over time and etc may have been effecting my experience. Since then this issue along with other random issues were resolved on their own.
Case in point I couldn’t find Jack prior to me doing this. Now it’s fixed and he’s at the top when I search. 😂
Dude, thank you! This solved my problem. False alarm @jb55
Zap.Army will get you back to zapping. You will need to reset your defaults
