I think I would have dismissed Nostr if not for understanding Bitcoin, the same as I didn’t get into Bitcoin the first times I saw it. Why didn’t you dismiss it early on?

Agree this does have an early Reddit feeling but way more cypherpunk. Wasnt into Linux but interesting comparison!

 I came here in February '23, due to nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqwqfq9k & Snowden taking about it on the tweety. I already had some knowledge. I have worked in IT. I'm not oblivious to my privacy and the implications of social media & a networked sensor laden device in your pocket. There was never really an alternative though. Nostr seemed like a place for me to be. New, exciting, slightly broken. So I stayed, and noted, and got turned into a bitcoiner 😂
