I think I understand your annoyance with thinner bezel. But the trend is going towards to having basically bezel-less screen for any kind of device. Specially with phones, I personally would prefer having the maximum screen space possible. Plus I always have protective phone case, which adds a bit thickness and grip.
@a0e5b29a Yeah, and I’m probably done buying new iPads if Apple continues the trend (at a minimum, I’ll be MUCH slower to upgrade). The bezels on the current crop of iPads are small enough that it is impossible for me to hold the device one-handed without registering a touch somewhere on the screen.

What’s really annoying is using an iPad in bed in the evening. My chest hair will register as touches on the screen if I rest the iPad on my chest. Grr.
@d86237d2 I wouldn’t have thought that the touch screen would be that sensitive..

I have never done that but have you tried to adjust the Touch Sensitivity of the iPad? Perhaps that would help?
@a0e5b29a I haven’t tried to adjust it. I mostly just put it away when I head to bed, at least until I remember that “one last thing” I needed to do before calling it a day.

But the touch screen will also sense fingers without me actually making contact with the screen. It’s pretty sensitive.
