@a0e5b29a @696dd37b For me, touchID is an acceptable risk for the convenience it offers, but I can understand why others might feel differently (the fact that a passcode is needed if the phone is off offsets most of the risk). But faceID doesn’t work with masks (or on the SE, which is my preferred form factor for many reasons), so for the past three and a half years, that’s been a complete non-starter for me. But then I also dislike new iPads because the bezels are too small, especially one-handed.

I think I understand your annoyance with thinner bezel. But the trend is going towards to having basically bezel-less screen for any kind of device. Specially with phones, I personally would prefer having the maximum screen space possible. Plus I always have protective phone case, which adds a bit thickness and grip.
@a0e5b29a Yeah, and I’m probably done buying new iPads if Apple continues the trend (at a minimum, I’ll be MUCH slower to upgrade). The bezels on the current crop of iPads are small enough that it is impossible for me to hold the device one-handed without registering a touch somewhere on the screen.

What’s really annoying is using an iPad in bed in the evening. My chest hair will register as touches on the screen if I rest the iPad on my chest. Grr.
@d86237d2 I wouldn’t have thought that the touch screen would be that sensitive..

I have never done that but have you tried to adjust the Touch Sensitivity of the iPad? Perhaps that would help?
@a0e5b29a I haven’t tried to adjust it. I mostly just put it away when I head to bed, at least until I remember that “one last thing” I needed to do before calling it a day.

But the touch screen will also sense fingers without me actually making contact with the screen. It’s pretty sensitive.
