Giving @ZEUS another whirl again today. Set up a self hosted node and funded for 2M sats automatically with their LSP. Then set up a self hosted lightning address as well. Payments out all worked great with no issues thus far. Might be worth testing with these low fees. https://i.nostr.build/4oM6D.jpg https://i.nostr.build/M5Erk.jpg https://i.nostr.build/gZ9k6.jpg
Tried to restore the wallet with 24 seed phrase after a 120000 sats deposit , the wallet is empty
Did the 24 word seed phrase get generated from a Lightning node or a hardware wallet. It makes a difference. If it was generated for a Lightning node then it will not work when trying to restore to a hardware or software wallet. If it was generated on a LN node and you are trying to restore to a LN node…Maybe the funds haven’t been confirmed on the blockchain?
After recovery you need to leave the wallet open for 10-15 min to scan the wallet for transactions. Closing it until the balance is fully restored will stop the process. Give our docs a look and reach out if you have any further issues https://docs.zeusln.app/for-users/embedded-node/backup-and-recovery/
Nice - Zeus is great. Did you find the UX pretty straightforward? I’ve hit the occasional snag where a tip from Evan sets me in the right direction (toggling neutrino settings etc) but the kind of thing a newbie (myself included) wouldn’t know to do
Trying to automate a bunch of these snags in v0.9.0!
Love it brotha 🤝🤙⚡️🫡
Is splicing on the roadmap? That would be fantastic.
Yes, but it’s gonna take some time for it to land in LND.
Is splicing possible while using multiple LSPs? As in, using multiple LSPs for redundancy & decentralization, and when a user splices in, you could pull from any source?
Yep
Sweet.
Most of it seemed to work right out of the box this time actually with the baked in lnd node 👍
Glad to hear that. Might take it for a spin and set one up on an old phone just for fun 🤝
worked well for me but the embedded node (even once synced) was super slow to pay for stuff and left me holding up the line at the recent BTC halving party in AU. Not sure if this is a liquidity / location issue or not (as I'm in AU).
The only issue I’ve had with this is that you have to make sure to launch the app often enough to keep it in sync. Other than that it was solid.
Just run persistent node 🤘🏼
For clarification, did you open a channel with Olympus or just use Zeus to open a channel with someone else? I had a Channel open with you at one point and you closed it 🥺😂
This was a channel using Olympus LSP. Yeah that node is not used at this point beyond experimentation, sorry about that. Turns out allowing everyone to open channels with you results in a lot of one-way channels with no other connections and no way to make payments! Lol
Hooked my node up through @zeus today. Self-hosted lightning for the win.
I just want to say I think the default Zeus color scheme is kinda rough and ugly. Dark theme ftw nostr:nevent1qqs80jj89szevlzpzh88syf0gqc2mhcm0ajq2andhzl5jzazngqucqcpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqzyqvcjq6w26u0vpk8yn695ykwsjs3sstzr2hhrq4p7ety8q9ecsnkkqcyqqqqqqgy8k34u
Amazing! I did the exact same yesterday. I coming from Phoenix a ice I have a US app store, so decided to make the jump and setup a self hosted node + zeus. Do you think Olympus is enough, or might be worth opening channels with other well connected nodes like Acinq and WOS?
Actually reliable
