It was so awesome when ghetto blasters started coming out with two cassette decks so you could do mixtapes without any commercials or missing the beginning or end of the song. Maybe just a little dj dialogue
So many mixed tapes where th DJ come on “YES YES YEA!” then it cuts to the next song

I swear the DJs knew when I was waiting all day for a song to come on to use that song to talk during the beginning instrumental every time to fuck up my recording… I guess I did the same thing too when I was a Dj on the school radio station 🤣
And used a pen to rewind to not waste the batteries of the walkman
