also, regarding the space brothers... there is many sources for references to the promise of return, the Book of Enoch, Revelation, Daniel, this book i read The Apocalypse of Yajnavalkya is full of references, the hindus old book Vishnu Purana has some good parts that talk about this, and speaking of unchartedX in that episode about the vases you linked me to, he makes some references to old egyptian texts that talk about this ancient civilization of "gods", the Dogon tribe has myths about it (and they talk about Taurus and the Pleiades), and the Aztec, Maya, Inca, all have stories about it as well, probably there is stuff in chinese texts as well especially taoist and buddist
