The government creates only obstacles, they didn’t develop fracking. Solar and wind are depleted on use, and require nearly as much energy inputs as they produce. Break even on solar panels is 8c/kWh over 20 years. That’s great if you want to be off grid, but I’m only paying 3c kWh in North Dakota.
