 There is a very good black Friday offer for proton VPN. I find it good so far.

 Proton is one of the best.

Interestingly Iโ€™m in the camp of โ€œStop telling me I need a VPN for securityโ€.

VPNs are great for obtaining geo-locked content or accessing your home or business LAN, or preventing man in the middle attacks on public wifi, but Iโ€™ve never subscribed to the idea that a VPN is going to stop the 14 eyes spying on me.

So up to now, Iโ€™ve relied on my own Tailscale VPN to get me back to the UK, as I donโ€™t generally wish to access a lot of geo-locked content.

This is more of a curiosity exercise than a use case investigation.
