Love the idea of governments competing for its citizens. Go and try a couple places for several months before you obtain residency. Then you’ll be ready if and when the time comes. 

 Where at? Idk about how easy it is for citizenship, but we've looked at Merida, Mexico. very metropolitan, low crime, great internet... but SOO hot! 

Campeche seems nice. We haven't been though.
