 I have had Muun for a long time.  Each time I send sats I loose a fuck ton of sats.  No thanks. 

 It's an onchain wallet that does submarine swaps when it needs to send lightning. You lose sats because you're paying onchain fees for lightning txns

 I agree, but if you wanna be private and self sovereign then WoS isn’t the answer either. just because they didn’t follow the rules doesn’t mean it’s a solution (i love them btw, Lightning legends)

i’d recommend Breez, Muun, Mutiny, or Phoenix for privacy and self sovereignty

 of course. we follow the rules because I don’t want Coinbase being the ones representing on-ramps and regulated services globally. we need Bitcoiners in the ring and we want to be here forever

 None of them give you a proper lighting address tho like wos does.
That’s the bigger issue.

Zeus, ZBD & fountain? 

 hmm, not sure. it’s much more difficult to do Lightning Addresses non-custodial. ZBD and Fountain are custodial, so same as Steike

Zeus might work if they offer Lightning Address? 

 They do in the TestFlight on iOS now. Not sure about other platforms.

 I stopped giving sots to non bitcoiners but back when I used that as a tactic I it used muun 

 Not bad. A little robotic but still the best Ive seen until something better comes along 

 Muun drains your sats away.  Very expensive to use. Fuck that. 

 Using Alby as a PWA on mobile (as well as desktop) works well and it's not TOO difficult for newbies. But I hear ya 

 Custodial: Alby and link it to an app like BlueWallet or Zeus.

Non-custodial: Zeus Beta or Mutiny 

 Glad I still have WOS as it just works easily and costs nothing.

Setting up a complicated lightning node and managing channels, and force closures loosing millions of sats is not for me.  Only the most hard core will use this and they can be successful at it.  Not for newbs though.

Mutiny wallet is very expensive.
Phoenix wallet is expensive also.

Hard to onboard newbs now.  Maybe talk about art, cats, frogs, porn, dogs, politics, etc 🤷🏻‍♂️

The next best is phoenix wallet which also support splicing too.

... but yea I'd usually tell folks to wait until they have a decent amount of sats (few hundred thousand) before sending them all to Phoenix to open a nice fat channel once

From there it could be Blink just for lightning address receives, and Phoenix for everything else
