I just popped a breaker. I forgot that I had my S9 set to 750W and was boiling water for tea. That was too much draw on one circuit... 😅 FYI, that's how the trailer is (currently, pun intended) wired. These things will be separated out in due time when I finish wiring the inverters into the system. The kitchen will then have its own 20A dedicated circuit fed by one of the twin inverters (set to ruin 240V split phase for future heat pump install to take over heating and AC duties much more efficiently). #randomthoughts #mining #s9 #miner #diy #solar #240V #electrical #rv #rvlife
All good things, but your trailer still needs some armor and monster truck wheels.
It's not built well enough from the factory to handle that. But a man can dream... 🤔
Bitcoin fixes this? Nostr fixes this? 🤣🤷♀️
Fiat-minded-ness caused this. BTC might fix this in 50 years.
What will the world look like by that time I wonder
I honestly don't know.
shall we ask nostr?

I've considered rewiring my trailer. With most outlets, one passes my tester, and the other fails (so I've taped over them). That's a minor inconvenience, but I have a light switch that gets hot when the light is on. Then I need to get my panels set up. 😀
RV outlets with stab/vampire clips are friggin awful. I've replaced nearly all of them at this point. I made my life harder converting my RV from 30A single leg service to, essentially 30A split leg, though, that's not done yet. 240V heat pumps are nearly 25% more efficient than equivalent 110V models, even for the very high SEER rated units. That pushed me to convert to split phase. It's not a total rewire, though. I'm still using the normal 30A input, just that I split that with a Victron auto former to feed the inverters split phase power (an annoyance of the inverter models I selected before I knew they needed split phase inputs to charge my batteries). Had I known what I know now, I would have picked a different model of all-in-one and could have saved myself a lot of hassle, but... It is what it is. 😅
