Unfortunately, Breez is only available for mobile. Additionally, it doesn't have any nostr integrations. You can use it to zap, but you can't use it to receive zaps because there's no LN address. There's also no NWC. I still think it's one of the best wallets available due to its dynamic on-chain send/receive, and on-the-fly lightning channel management that doesn't require any user intervention.
Guhhh I'm so absolutely tired of doing the double work on desktop finding things and then having to go into primal mobile to zap them
You should look into Cashu Wallet, and Coinos. Cashu Wallet is the basis for Primal's wallet. If you're familiar with Primal's wallet, then you already know how to use Cashu. It's an ecash wallet that also supports Lightning, and it has NWC for full integration with Nostr. Coinos provides similar functionality; Lightning, Liquid, eCash. NWC and a customized LN address for full integration with Nostr. Both wallets are web-based, so they can be accessed from the desktop, anywhere you go. Between the two, Coinos is a bit more user friendly, but it's custodial, meaning Coinos actually holds your coins. Cashu, on the other hand, is a non-custodial wallet, meaning you hold the keys, and possession of your coins. Both are stable and reliable, and if you're looking for something to primarily interact with Nostr (zaps), both are fully suited to the task. I wouldn't use either of them for storing large quantities of bitcoin. For that, I think you want something that's based on on-chain bitcoin. Something like Electrum, or Mycelium. You’re the man with the educated. You do such a great job at elaborating different subjects
I might like to use it as a mediary / secondary wallet (OK, my third, lol) to empty my Primal into and use it for non-nostr stuff and expenses for my business (which I accept BTC sats for). I get paid and spend btc now as much as possible.
Oh! Well, Breez has an integrated POS with customizable inventory, and service list so merchants can easily accept bitcoin for their products and services. That might be very useful for you.
Yeah I saw BTCPay does the same. I'm so over trying to get NWC. I really wanted to integrate with my WooCommerce site that I built years ago, really hate having to reinvent the wheel, so I'm just on Shopstr now with my jerky.
BTC pay integrates with Breez Wallet. I was just reading a support doc about that. NWC is a nice convenience, but it's not really a primary requirement. There are other features that are more important. I hope you find something that meets your core requirements, and meets your needs!
That's what I thought too. Thanks.
