Oddbean new post about login | logout Honest question... What's the use case for these/how does it work? I've seen some info about meshtastic but can't figure out what benefit it brings me other than more technology for technologies sake. What am I missing?

Think ham radio, but with a layer of technology for text based communication. Are they overly useful most of the time? No. But situations could happen making them vital for communication.

Want!!! Once I’m back home I gotta figure out how to start connecting with other “nodes” out there. But the new toy turns on, has been flashed with current firmware, and successfully connected to my phone/laptop, all without needing to know a single line of code/CLI 😉
