 Satoru Iwata was Satoshi
 I'm down with that
I don't actually have any idea since I'm not an insider with access to any secret knowledge, but I do notice these things:

* Satoru Iwata really liked the name Satoshi
* His work at Nintendo showed talent in the same programming languages used to create Bitcoin
* Nintendo oddly had some cypherpunk stuff going on under his time at the top - see the item codes in Animal Crossing for example
* His position and experience also suggest deep understanding of currency, system architectures, cybersecurity, network scaling, etc
* No more Satoshi after him - coincidence? I have no idea, it's just fun to speculate
 I fully support this theory.
The original thing that made me think of him was I found out the Nintendo 64 can run Linux, which made me think maybe Nintendo was secretly doing a Japanese military project to convince the American military industrial complex to let them make powerful desktop computers without spyware by posing them as toys.

"Mom, can I make my special computer hardware a little more powerful?"

"What for?"

"For kids worldwide to play more advanced games"

*secretly uses it to make Japan's government more independent like a boss*

After thinking about that, I realized if anyone in the world could have made it as long as Satoshi did before the deep state found out & stopped him, maybe it would be Satoru Iwata.
Obviously finding out he really liked the name Satoshi also made me go "holy shit it might be this guy"
