I have to admit , I did get a bad impression at first but I just wasn’t taking advantage of all the free stuff that’s available to you instantly - like wavlake for instance.
Want to share recipes without ads or bank account?
We got tools for that.
Want to share an album without a credit card?

It’s been incredible seeing nostr grow so much in such a short time…

Bitcoiners were some of the earliest adopters (because decentralized freedom tech is an ethos we already vibe with) but it’s expanding far beyond that.

It’s the digital architecture of a level playing field, a communication protocol with a structure that realigns incentives toward freedom *and* fairness, a space where authenticity and proof of work (rather than manipulative algo-hacks) are valued and elevated.

And it’s still so early!
Yeah that’s what’s weird about it, there’s so much available now and it’s growing with no end point to reach.
Honestly i think it’s that so many functions of nostr are available to the general public, like zap.cooking or wavlake for instance, where there’s no Step 2 where you have to buy into something like a membership or a registration.
You can just tell people to check those out and then say “and here’s nostr, it’s the common ‘language’ they all use” , but like zap.cooking and wavlake and whatnot, they all perform cool functions that people are familiar with and they have regular URLs and no mysterious software, and here’s how you get a free key to all of them. People don’t have to even change their comfort level to appreciate Free and Simple.
