 @344b0ae6 rtl-sdr?  You’ll find it kinda broad… give SDRPlay rpi image and an MSI SDR… they do a good job on hf

 @6ebf1391 Thanks! This is what I’m starting with. Reviews outside of Amazon are favorable for beginners. Also, 10/4 on the rpi image tip. All very exciting!

 @344b0ae6 yah the 820t will give slightly better HF reception. For HF you’ll need to get some decent wire :)

 @344b0ae6 its filled with religious crazies now and fewer and fewer internationals, but it’s still fun… and there is always the amateur radio bands to pass the time learning about Harry’s latest impacted colon surgery.
