I have been using #ObsidianMD now for a couple of years and generally like it. I love plaintext and the file portability and the extent to which I can do almost anything with the app. HOWEVER, I've been toying with the idea of migrating to just using #AppleNotes. I already use Notes for all my personal stuff (Obsidian is primarily work and research). Would be great to have it all in a single, mobile-friendly app. Has anyone made the move from Obsidian —> Apple Notes? Thoughts?
@ac756102 What happens to your files if tomorrow #apple decided that it will raise its prices. Or, something else in the same kind of behaviour. I guess Obsidian is great, because they are just plain text files that you will be able to open in 20 years with any editor, and you won't need apple version 76 with the latest imac ...
@ac756102 The biggest downside to #AppleNotes is the vendor lock-in, with very poor export features. Have you tried #Bear as a native alternative to Apple Notes? It’s a much better app imo.
@ac756102 lack of back links, refactoring etc would kill me. Also 1/3 of my notes were created by the book search plugin.
