It cost me almost precisely this much (NZ$550,000) to build a home of about the same sq-footage (180sqm) in NZ... but on a lot I already owned. And a small lot like this would have cost another NZ$300,000. So yes, this Nashville house is cheap.

Yeah, I love the US too. Many of my relations live south of me, just across the border. My question was more, why limit yourself to just that? There are many commonwealth countries that are easy for Canadians. NZ, Aus, UK, etc. You’re young, without a family, hit the road man.

Seriously, move to Augusta GA. We'll start a citadel here. Nearly the best cost of living (price/performance) in the world. Nothing crazy to do down here but it's only a couple hours away from anything. We got the Masters if you like golf ⛳.

Northern Shenandoah is cheaper. Look around Winchester, VA but not in the city.
FWIW, it’s a 9 hour drive from here to Nashville. DC BitDevs has a good group and if I can convince more devs to move to the area, then I’ll probably start Shenandoah BitDevs. Currently just https://shenandoahbitcoin.club is what we’re working with.
